What is it?
The PSA Experience is an opportunity for boys, ages 12-18 with measurable soccer ability, to receive one week of world-class soccer training in a professional environment. Players participating in this program will train along side the year-round players currently selected and training at the academy.
Where is it?
The Premier Soccer Academies, a $10 million-dollar professional soccer training facility is located in Lorain, Ohio – 30 minutes west of downtown Cleveland.
When is it?
PSA Experience weeks begin Sunday, September 16th and run thru May 24, 2008. Certain weeks will be unavailable due to our year-round players traveling overseas to participate in tournaments but most weeks will be available on a first-come first-serve basis.
What is provided in this program?
Premier Soccer Academies will provide sleeping accommodations in the main academy building, daily nutrition (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), daily training gear, daily professional soccer training, and ground transportation from Cleveland International airport to PSA Campus and back to airport at the conclusion of the week experience. The player is responsible for his own air travel expenses as well as any educational needs during his one-week stay. Computers will be available in the main academy building to use for school purposes only.
Is there an opportunity for a player participating in the PSA Experience to receive a year-round scholarship from the academy?
Yes! Every player that is given the opportunity to come in on the PSA Experience will be considered for a year-round scholarship. Our standards are very high and if our coaches believe in the talent, attitude, and work ethic they see in front of them there is a very good chance a player could be immediately, or in the future, be invited to attend the academy on a year-round scholarship.
How do I apply to attend the PSA Experience?
Fill out the PSA Experience Application on our website (www.gopsa.com), list preferred week (s) wishing to attend, and send it in to our PSA Campus. Once it is received, a review of the application will take place including a check of previous/current playing experience. It is important for us to select players with a minimum degree of talent so that we have productive training sessions for all players.
Is there a cost associated with the PSA Experience?
Yes. To apply for the PSA Experience you will need to fill out the application and send in a $25 non-refundable deposit. This deposit is required prior to reviewing the application. Should the player be selected, the $25 deposit will be applied to the PSA Experience fee of $1250.00, which is due three weeks prior to arrival date. Those selected will be required to check-in at 5:00 PM Sunday of their PSA Experience week. Check-out is no later than 8:00 PM the following Saturday.
What airport is nearest to the PSA Campus?
The Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport is located approximately 35 minutes from the PSA Campus. Other smaller airports are available in the area depending on your aircrafts specific landing/refueling needs.
